Activity related to the proposed action:

We are working in the general area of Internet Connectivity for mobile Ad-Hoc networks (MANET). 
More specifically, we are looking into mechanisms to support Quality of Service for mobile
multimedia communication where peers may be located in MANET connected to the internet. 
Also, we are developing mechanisms to support multicast in MANETs connected to the internet,
so that peers can participate in multicast session across such heterogeneous networks. To support 
multimedia services, we are developing mechanisms to provide QoS for multicast in hybrid MANETs. 
Finally, we are also looking into transport layer issues for such hybrid MANETs, how TCP can be 
modified to improve the performance in hybrid MANETs and we are looking into SCTP enhancements.
Our projects that are related to that area are IST Daidalos and Daidalos-II, NoE NewCom and 
PerMoCom. So in that sense, it should fit nicely with scientific programme
"QoS provisioning for multimedia traffic in wireless environment".
