Activity related to the proposed action: As a leader of projects "Multimedia communications and information technologies" and "Advanced communication an information systems and services" sponsored by the Ministry of science and technology a number of investigations I have done in ATM, IP, and wireless networks, particularly concerned with multimedia traffic, its modeling, prediction, packet flow control, routing and QoS management. In IP and wireless networks methods for resource reservation and call admission control have been investigated. We analyze methods for source, channel and network modeling, traffic engineering, multiple access channel modeling, broadcasting models, throughput analysis, flow control, routing, channel allocation, quality of services (QoS) analysis, distributed systems, message integration (speech, text, data, audio, image and video). Particularly we use the multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) multiplicative ARIMA (p,d,q)x(P,D,Q)S models for new call admission control to maximise the system throughput while keeping the handoff call dropping probability below the targeted value.
