Activity related to the proposed action:

We have been doing QoS-related research concentrating
on the implementation and simulation of certain DiffServ
mechanisms since 1997. The work has also involved
measurements in (wired) local and wide area networks.
Currently we are also interested in extending these activities
to wireless networks, including the aspects of mobility.
The research related to this Cost project would take
place in the ICEFIN project, which is a major government
funded project for the years 2002 - 2005.
Primary activities in the Cost project would include
- QoS-aware IP mobility protocols
- Handoff techniques
- Interworking between different access technologies
- Security
