Activity related to the proposed action:

Expertise:
• Multimedia over QoS-enabled IP-networks, including own Linux implementation of DiffServ and MPLS, analysis of traffic patterns generated by IP multimedia services and quality assessment of multimedia services
• Protocol (TCP, UDP, RTP) boosting over wireless links
• Intelligent handoff schemes supporting fast moving high bit rate users and terminals
• QoS routing in ad hoc networks
• Network simulations and implementation of newly developed network protocols in experimental wireless testbed

Activity:
• Development of QoS-aware handoff protocols supporting broadband multimedia applications to fast moving users and terminals  in IP-based wireless networks
• Development of an adaptive multimode and QoS-enabled ad hoc routing protocol
• Traffic engineering and QoS support in the wireless access network
