5th MC meeting informational page

Place

The 5th COST 290 MCM meeting will take place at TNO ICT in Delft. Visitors should register at reception at Brassersplein 2, 2612 CT Delft, The Netherlands, from where you will be escorted to the conference room.

How to get there?

BY PLANE, FROM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT:

If you fly to mainport near Amsterdam, you can take a train from the basement of the airport to DELFT, and switch at "DEN HAAG HS". This journey takes 41 minutes by train (8 euro, second class). Take a taxi from the railway station in Delft to the above TNO ICT facilities. All Dutch train information can be found at www.ns.nl
The map shows the route by train from Schiphol airport to Delft, about 50 km.

BY PLANE, FROM ROTTERDAM AIRPORT:

The regional airport near Rotterdam is very close to Delft (5 km or so), and this gives an advantage over Schiphol airport. For those who can have a convenient connection to that airport can take a taxi directly from there to the TNO ICT facilities.
Details can be found at www.rotterdam-airport.nl

BY INTERNATIONAL TRAIN CONNECTIONS:

International train connections from/via Belgium or Germany to Delft are readily planned using the excellent German site which operates in various languages and seems to cover all of Europe. When in Delft, hail a taxi to get to TNO ICT.

Hotel information

If you need a hotel in Delft, you can find a list of hotels at: www.delfthotels.nl/eng/index.html

Some options to consider are:

(i) if you take a hotel in the city center, you can really enjoy the nice "atmosphere" of the city of Delft (highly recommended), but you have to take a taxi to the TNO ICT premises.

(ii) hotel Campanile Delft is on walking distance from TNO ICT (simply cross the freeway), but it is in a dull and quiet location at the edge of the town.

(iii) The Accor hotel in The Hague and the Moevenpick hotel in Voorburg are also often used by our guests.
